A NOTE FROM PASTOR DAVID
The psalmist declares: “Come and see what God has done: He is awesome in His deeds.” (Psalm 66:5). Indeed, we can testify to this truth in our own lives and in the life of Community Bible Fellowship Church!
The “Growing by Faith” campaign is a step of faith that the Elders believe we, as a congregation, need to take. One of the major reasons for this campaign is that we will no longer have meeting access after the Spring of 2024 due to the Westfield High School auditorium renovation. Thankfully, the Lord has already provided us with the land and a substantial amount of monies to launch this endeavor. As noted by Corrie ten Boom, a Dutch Christian who was sent to a Concentration Camp by the Nazis for hiding Jews during WWII: “Faith sees the invisible, believes the unbelievable, and receives the impossible.”
Please join us in prayer for the Lord to provide the resources necessary to complete this project, for the timely construction of the building, and that ultimately, our church structure will be used to glorify Him.
May the Lord bless you and our church as we seek to exalt the name of Jesus! In Christ’s love,
Pastor David Hoffeditz on behalf of the Elder Board
Week of December 18th 2022
In March 2022 we published the “Growing by Faith” booklet that explains the master site plan, timeline, floor layout of the building, estimated costs, and the ways we hope to fund it all.
An addendum to the original booklet was released in November 2022 that outlined changes to the original scope. The addendum was mailed to the congregation the first two weeks of November 2022.
If you would like to download a copy of the addendum that was mailed, you can download it here: November Addendum to Growing By Faith
THE FINANCIAL PICTURE
MAKE A COMMITMENT
On August 28, 2022 the congregation overwhelmingly approved the design and costs for Phase 1. As of mid October 2022, over $5.44 million in commitments and donations have been made. The graphic on this page shows $532,000 in outstanding commitments that are needed to reach our funding goal for Phase 1. We will be regularly updating this graphic by filling in the total received. So please come back and follow the progress toward reaching our goal.
If you have not already made a commitment, we ask that you prayerfully consider making an investment in CBF’s future permanent home. You can make an online donation directly to the building fund by clicking here or if you would like to make a multi-year financial commitment to the Growing By Faith Campaign, you can download a copy of the commitment card here and mail it to:
