Our Mission

We are a Christ-centered community living our mission through vibrant worship, in-depth instruction, strong fellowship, and sacrificial service to one another.

2 Timothy 3:16-17 – We are a church that not only believes that the Bible is fully and truly the inerrant Word of God, but we also recognize the importance of the Word in our teaching and preaching. We serve as a body of believers possessing a strong Christian worldview with the knowledge of how to filter “life” through the Scriptures and strategically engage our culture for God’s glory.

Acts 2:42 – We are a church that is passionate about loving one another. Words and actions coincide as we seek to show the love of Christ. This is accomplished through intentional times of fellowship, both in small groups and corporate settings.

Colossians 3:16 – We are a church that embraces a vibrant style of worship. Understanding the value of corporate worship, our services are designed to include the entire body of Christ through a blended-style of worship, utilizing the various arts. From congregational singing to music selection, we seek to exalt our Lord.

Matthew 28:19-20 – We are a church that emphasizes every aspect of the Gospel. This is expressed through local and global outreach, which are both vital to the life of our body. We want to be known as a congregation that takes evangelism and discipleship seriously.

Ephesians 6:18 – We are a church that recognizes the essential component of prayer in the life of our congregation. From private to corporate prayer, our fellowship seeks the Father’s will through the power of the Spirit in Jesus’ name.

1 Corinthians 12:14-20 – We are a church that understands the importance and uniqueness of every member of our body. We strive to equip and utilize our congregation by maximizing their talents and the resources that God has entrusted to us.

In August 2020, forty Christ-followers met to pray about establishing a church in one of the nation’s fastest growing communities – Westfield, Indiana. Just two weeks later, Senior Pastor Dr. David Hoffeditz led our new church in its inaugural worship service, in light of what was recognized by the founders as clear direction from the Lord.

Community Bible Fellowship (CBF) was formed as a nondenominational evangelical Christian church. Our body is congregationally-led and guided by a Board of Elders – a group of men elected by the members and meeting the biblical qualifications for church leadership.

Since May 2021, the church family has met in the Westfield High School auditorium and now averages over 400 worshippers each Sunday morning. By God’s grace, CBF has been able to purchase 15 acres on 161st Street and has begun the “Growing by Faith” capital campaign to design and construct a new church home, which we expect to occupy by Spring 2024.

God’s hand is moving powerfully, encouraging us all to echo King David’s words in Psalm 118:23, “This is the Lord’s doing: It is marvelous in our eyes!”

We uphold seven core beliefs as essential to Christianity. These beliefs relate to God the Father, Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, the Bible, humanity, salvation, and the end of time.

We believe…

. . . that the Bible is the verbally inspired Word of God and without mistakes as originally written. It is the complete revelation of His will for salvation and the only unfailing rule of faith and practice for the Christian life.

. . . in one God, Creator of all things, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and that these three are co-eternal and of equal dignity and power.

. . . in the deity of Jesus Christ; His miraculous conception by the Holy Spirit; His virgin birth; His sinless life; His substitutionary death on a cross; His bodily resurrection; His ascension to the right hand of the Father; and His personal, imminent return.

. . . that man was created by and for God; that by man’s disobeying God, every person incurred spiritual death, which is separation from God, and physical death as a consequence; and that all people are sinners by nature and practice.

. . . the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins and that all who believe in Him are declared righteous because of His sacrificial death and are, therefore, in the right relationship with God.

. . . in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit indwelling all believers and thus enabling and empowering the life and ministry of the believer.

. . . in the bodily resurrection of everyone who has lived, the everlasting blessedness of those in right relationship with God, and the everlasting punishment of those who have rejected God’s forgiveness in His Son.

David is the founding pastor of Community Bible Fellowship. His desire is to establish a church with a solid biblical foundation based on the faithful exposition of the Word of God.

MAICOL VENTER - Associate Pastor

Maicol was born in Brazil and developed a love for basketball as a teenager. When an American missionary began an evangelistic outreach for players in his hometown, Maicol was drawn in by the Gospel. After playing college basketball at Cedarville University and attending seminary, Maicol and his wife Mandy served as church planters and missionaries in Southern Brazil.

They have three daughters, Stella, Cami, and Lily. As a family they enjoy playing sports and games, and most importantly, the privilege of ministering the gospel truth that Jesus saves.

BEN BABIONE - Director of Worship

Ben had the rare opportunity of growing up in Eastern Europe as his parents served as missionaries where he learned what it meant to be a follower of Jesus at a young age. It was during his time at Butler University that he began to combine his love for music and passion for the Lord by leading worship for Butler’s campus ministry.

It has been Ben’s passion to serve the Lord in vocational ministry and to see an active attitude of worship among the congregation that goes beyond simply singing on Sundays.

AMY FLYNN - Director of Administration

Amy is passionate about serving and connecting with others in rich relationships.

Raised in a Christian home and becoming a follower of Jesus Christ while young, prepared her well. She has served in many areas including Bible Studies, being president of the Children’s Museum Guild and of Heritage Christian School PTA, coaching High School Cheerleaders and coordinating Church Retreats and Urban Ministries.

Amy and Tom have been married since 1983. Their two married children and four grandchildren all live in the Indianapolis area.

NATE PLETCHER - Production Director

Nate serves CBF as Technical/Production Director.
From an early age, watching his dad serve the Lord by using his technical skills, Nate learned his dad’s skills and to serve with passion in the use of technology. Throughout his adult years, Nate has volunteered his services in areas of IT, audio, lighting, live-streaming and video. His career includes IT Services, Engineering, CAD Design, and Technology Start-ups.
Nate and his precious wife, Tracie, have three sweet daughters

JULIE REIMANN - Accounting Manager

Julie loves working with numbers and watching God bless Community Bible Fellowship in many ways – He is faithful!
Throughout her life, during good times and challenges, Julie has seen God lead, shape, and guide her in every way. Her parents showed her what it means to love the Lord, along with a love for music, the outdoors, gardening, and all things learning.
Julie and her wonderful husband, Jim, share four daughters and eight grandchildren who thankfully all live in Indiana.

GRACIE REIFF - Ministry Assistant

Gracie was raised in a Christian home and became a Christian at church camp when she was a pre-teen but has not always walked closely with the Lord. She only began to really build her relationship with Jesus after the birth of her first child, and He has richly blessed her as a result.

After a long career in Marketing and Human Resources for both a corporation and in higher education she retired and serves CBFC in the support position of Ministry Assistant.

She and her husband, Ray, who is a former pastor, share 5 children who are scattered across the US, 13 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
